The founder of the popular YouTube channel Demolition Ranch, Matt Carriker, has decided to retire after 14 years on the platform. Carriker, whose channel has been active since 2011, has produced more than 700 entertaining videos showcasing firearms in creative ways.
His channel boasts almost 12 million subscribers, engaged by his knack for blending entertainment with informative content regarding firearms. Although not as expansive as channels like MrBeast, Demolition Ranch has successfully carved out a solid audience.
Carriker made the emotional announcement via YouTube, explaining that he is now looking to spend more time with his family. Alongside retiring the channel, he is selling his Texas ranch for $15 million.
Carriker mentioned he feels “nervous and sad” about this decision but firmly believes prioritizing his family is essential. While retiring from the channel makes way for a new chapter, he has hinted at possibly returning to his former career as a veterinarian, a stark contrast to many creators who transition from traditional jobs to content creation.
With an impressive annual revenue of about $500,000 from his YouTube channel, he expressed satisfaction, stating that Demolition Ranch exceeded every goal he initially set.
