New Minecraft Update Features the Iconic Lava Chicken Song

The latest update for Minecraft's Bedrock Edition includes the beloved Lava Chicken song from the Minecraft Movie alongside several bug fixes.

A recent update for Minecraft’s Bedrock Edition introduces a fun new feature: the popular Lava Chicken song from the Minecraft Movie. Players can now enjoy this music disc in multiplayer settings. Previously, it was available in the Java Edition following its 1.21.7 update in late June.

The Minecraft Movie, which premiered in April, stars notable actors including Jack Black, Jason Momoa, Danielle Brooks, and Emma Myers. The lively narrative has inspired numerous memes, one being the Lava Chicken song itself, performed by Jack Black in a memorable scene where his character prepares chicken using lava.

This track, despite not featuring Black’s singing, includes amusing vocals from Minecraft’s Villager mob. Players can obtain the music disc by defeating a Chicken Jockey, marrying gameplay with popular culture. Additionally, the update rectifies various bugs and incorporates quality-of-life improvements, particularly addressing light intensity from torches under specific graphics settings.
