To celebrate Frostpunk 2’s emerging mod community, 11 Bit Studios is hosting a contest to discover the best mod. The contest features numerous prizes and a generous amount of time for participants, with the submission deadline set for August 22 and winners to be revealed on September 1.

“We’re thrilled to see how much Frostpunk’s modding community has grown since the game’s release. Seeing how your creativity expands and reshapes the world of Frostpunk makes us extremely happy!”

The competition includes various categories for participants, such as the best city mechanics or political mod, with the minor categories each offering a Frostpunk-themed AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT graphics card. All honorable mentions will receive a goodie pack from 11 Bit.

Grand Prize

The grand prize consists of $10,000 for the best overall mod, which should showcase creativity and technical proficiency.

For those interested in entering, mods must be uploaded to mod.io with the tag #fp2modcontest to ensure the jury can find them. Existing mods can be re-uploaded for consideration as well.

Judging Criteria: Mods will be assessed on creativity, playability, and, most importantly, fun by a jury that includes the developers, representatives from mod.io, and experienced modders from the Frostpunk community.
