The last significant legal action from Epic occurred in early 2025 when a Fortnite cheater was required to publically apologize and donate any earnings from the Fortnite Championship Series to charity. As of July 14, Epic Games announced that legal measures had been implemented against two players, one for distributing cheats and the other for launching DDoS attacks against streamers. Both offenders received lifetime bans from Fortnite and were obligated to record apology videos.
