MindsEye Now Available at a Discount

MindsEye, the very first title from Leslie Benzies’ Build a Rocket Boy, has become controversial, especially following its 30% discount at various retailers just a month post-launch due to a rocky start. Gamers interested in the issues surrounding MindsEye can now purchase the action-adventure game for $40 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC at select stores.

Despite no advance copies being provided to the press prior to release, a few content creators did manage to experience the game early this year, labeling it a “broken mess” filled with numerous bugs and performance hiccups. Unfortunately, the situation didn’t improve upon its release date, causing MindsEye to earn the title of the worst-reviewed game of 2025, currently holding a Metacritic score of 37.

Perfect Opportunity to Grab MindsEye

Given that MindsEye could see even steeper discounts soon, this moment may be ideal for players looking to dive into the game. Earlier this month, Benzies, formerly of Rockstar Games and producer on the Grand Theft Auto series, hinted that MindsEye will be relaunched and is set to “bounce back.”

Even with its troubled launch, MindsEye surprisingly secured a position as the fourth best-selling physical game in the UK shortly after its release in June, surpassing heavyweights such as Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
