Pricing Leaks Indicate the ROG Xbox Ally X Could Be Microsoft’s Priciest Console Yet

Leaked prices suggest the new ROG Xbox Ally and its X variant may carry hefty price tags, raising eyebrows among gamers.

Microsoft’s announcement of the ROG Xbox Ally lineup dubbed it “an Xbox you can hold in your hands,” but the price tag may be a shock for many. According to Spanish gaming site 3DJuegos, leaked listings for both the ROG Xbox Ally and the premium ROG Xbox Ally X appeared on the Asus store, priced at €599 and €899 respectively.

This roughly translates to about $700 for the base model and around $1,050 for the X variant. However, the actual price may fluctuate due to regional pricing disparities where European consumers often face steeper costs.

While these listings have since been retracted, should they hold true, the ROG Xbox Ally X will set a record for being the most expensive official Xbox console ever, a title that Microsoft may not be proud of. The standard ROG Xbox Ally isn’t cheap either, packing the AMD Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme chip under the hood, ensuring a significant performance boost for gamers.

With both pricing and specifications still ambiguous, no definitive release dates have been confirmed; however, the general expectation points towards a launch during the winter of 2025.
