Delay for Total War: Warhammer 3's Tides of Torment DLC: 'We fell short of our quality standards'

The release of the Tides of Torment DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3 has been postponed to later this year as creative developers strive to meet quality benchmarks.

On July 13, 2025, it was announced that Creative Assembly has postponed the release of the new DLC Tides of Torment for Total War: Warhammer 3. The DLC launch, which was originally slated for this summer, will be pushed back to a later date expected this year.

In a blog post, Adam Freeman, Head of Community, stated that the delay is due to the content not aligning with the company’s quality standards. He noted:

“In recent playtesting, we asked ourselves if this next DLC met the standards that we’ve set in recent releases, and the short answer was no. However, we know it can and so we want to spend more time working on it, reviewing the content, and improving the gameplay experiences that it’s set to bring.”

No specific release date has been provided but it is anticipated that updates concerning the DLC will arrive later in the year.
