Physical Copies of Donkey Kong Bananza Surface Ahead of Release

Early copies of Donkey Kong Bananza have surfaced before its scheduled launch, generating excitement and curiosity about Nintendo's latest title.

Some early copies of Donkey Kong Bananza have appeared online before the official release date of July 17. Screenshots shared on social media show the game’s packaging, igniting interest in Nintendo’s next installment.

Donkey Kong Bananza is the franchise’s first venture into 3D platforming since Donkey Kong 64. In this upcoming title, players will join Donkey Kong and Pauline in a vast, underground world as they battle VoidCo and collect the mystical Banandium Gems. The game is notable for being among the first major releases for the Switch 2 and is being helmed by directors Kazuya Takahashi and Kenta Motokura, the latter having previously directed Super Mario Odyssey.

With rumors surrounding the game’s features—including options for two-player co-op and artist mode—players who manage to obtain a physical copy will have to refrain from playing until the official release to comply with Nintendo’s strict anti-piracy measures. Amid debates about piracy following recent crackdown efforts, anticipation for this title continues to grow with its status as Amazon’s top-selling game.
