Owners of the original PS5 model have voiced their frustration after PlayStation excluded them from the limited-edition console covers for Ghost of Yotei. The console maker has a history of launching products themed around popular games, including the much-anticipated Ghost of Yotei.

Following the recent State of Play focused on Ghost of Yotei, excitement surged online. However, the reveal of themed hardware, including a custom PS5 Slim console and covers for the PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro, left original PS5 owners upset, as these covers were not made available for their consoles.

A Reddit thread highlighted the feelings of neglect among users, many of whom expressed disappointment at being sidelined by Sony. One user lamented, “Sony is a ‘what have you bought from us lately’ company …” Another remarked on the swiftness of Sony’s abandonment of the original model. Despite these frustrations, there is a possibility for original PS5 users to procure the limited-edition DualSense controller for Ghost of Yotei.
