Major Update Coming for Path of Exile 2 Fans on August 29
Grinding Gear Games has announced the release of a significant update for Path of Exile 2, bringing new content and changes focusing on player concerns.
Grinding Gear Games has confirmed that Path of Exile 2’s next big update, Version 0.3.0, is set to launch on August 29. This update will introduce a new League and aims to address some criticisms from players about earlier content. Initially released in Early Access last December, Path of Exile 2 had a strong start, captivating a large audience with its gameplay. However, some recent reviews have been critical, pointing out issues with endgame content.
Since its debut, the game has only introduced one League, Version 0.2.0 Dawn of the Hunt, which debuted on April 4, 2025, adding a new class: the Huntress. While the previous update aimed to improve content and add more gameplay options, the player count saw a decline as many returned to the original Path of Exile.
The upcoming update is expected to come with fresh mechanics, rewards, and new bosses to engage players further. It will create a new economy exclusively linked to this update, making it inaccessible to old characters from the Standard League.
More details are scheduled to be released a week prior to the launch.
