Unusual New Title Tasks Players with Shark Dentistry

Alice Games' upcoming horror game, Shark Dentist, invites players to perform dental procedures on sharks in a unique blend of horror and simulation.

From developer Alice Games, Shark Dentist is an upcoming horror game that takes animal care to a bizarre new level. Players can add Shark Dentist to their Wishlist on Steam, but no release date has been confirmed yet.

In many action and horror video games, sharks often serve as challenging adversaries. However, Alice Games’ next title puts a twist on typical shark-centric gameplay by requiring players to manage the dental health of sharks.

The gameplay involves performing various dental tasks in a creepy underground clinic, including cleaning teeth and treating infections with realistic tools like scalpels, syringes, mirrors, and drills. Players must adeptly balance operating on the sharks while managing their pain levels, administering anesthesia, and monitoring vital signs. The sharks begin the procedures asleep, but any mishap might provoke them to wake up and turn aggressive, threatening the player.

Described as a horror roguelike, Shark Dentist will provide randomly generated dental challenges in each playthrough along with unique tools and debuffs.

Random occurrences may disrupt the gameplay such as tool malfunctions or unexpected pain spikes, requiring quick thinking and adaptation from players. Fans of classic horror movies such as Jaws, The Meg, and Saw will likely find Shark Dentist particularly engaging. Currently, players can add it to their Wishlist on Steam until there’s an official announcement regarding its release date.

Unlike traditional medical simulator games, which typically feature human patients capable of communication, Shark Dentist poses a unique challenge with a non-verbal, potentially dangerous patient. The approach of this premise is highly anticipated, although fans will need to hold out until further updates from Alice Games.
