Asmongold Achieves Record as the Most Watched Streamer Globally
Asmongold has emerged as the leading streamer in global views for the second quarter of the year, surpassing other prominent names.
Asmongold, a prominent Twitch and Kick streamer, has achieved the remarkable title of being the world’s most-watched streamer in the second quarter of the year. His rise to the top places him ahead of other major streamers on platforms like Twitch, Kick, and YouTube, including notable figures such as IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat.
While his persona is often seen as divisive, it’s undeniable that Asmongold’s popularity is substantial. In March, he was reported as having the highest viewing hours on Twitch, followed by a peak moment as the platform’s top streamer. This latest feat of reaching the summit across multiple platforms has been made possible through his strategic use of streaming beyond Twitch alone.

According to data from StreamsCharts via Dexerto, Asmongold topped global viewing figures for the quarter. He garnered 26.41 million hours viewed on Twitch, placing him as the second most watched streamer overall, just behind Caedrel’s 27.87 million hours. However, thanks to his multi-streaming to Kick, his total viewing hours skyrocketed to 28.58 million.
Future Prospects for Asmongold
Streaming can be an unpredictable endeavor, with a streamer’s popularity able to change rapidly. Although some believe Asmongold’s reign might be challenged in the upcoming quarter, especially by competitors who may launch stream subathons, it remains likely that his audience will continue to grow. He has only started utilizing Kick since June, so he achieved this position without those viewer hours boosting his numbers during April and May. If he maintains his streaming presence on both platforms throughout the next quarter, his viewership could reach even greater heights.
While Kick still doesn’t match Twitch’s popularity, it offers enticing incentives for streamers, sharing an impressive 95% of revenue with them as opposed to Twitch’s traditional 50/50 split on subscriptions. Although Kick imposes a reduction in revenue share when multi-streaming, many content creators still recognize the value in being visible on both platforms. If other high-profile streamers follow Asmongold’s example, future competition might arise.
