Wishlist Mission Offers Early Rewards for 007 First Light Players

Exciting opportunities for players of the upcoming 007 First Light as they can earn unique rewards by participating in a wishlist mission.

As fans eagerly await the release of the new James Bond title, 007 First Light, a new wishlist mission has been launched to allow players to earn exclusive rewards ahead of the game’s 2026 release. The project was confirmed by IO Interactive back in 2020 and was officially revealed during Sony’s State of Play showcase in June 2025.

The game promises an original storyline inspired by Ian Fleming’s classic works, providing a fresh take on James Bond’s origin story that fans of the franchise have yet to experience. Under the supervision of Amazon, which acquired complete creative and production rights to the James Bond IP earlier this year, 007 First Light is set to connect with the future cinematic releases, including welcomed involvement from renowned director Denis Villeneuve.

To motivate players, IO Interactive has created a unique mission where fans can wishlist the game on Steam to unlock valuable in-game rewards. Here are the milestones players can achieve:

  1. Milestone 1: Equip Bond with a unique skin and enhance your desktop with animated 007-themed wallpapers.
  2. Milestone 2: Add flair to your fieldwork with a custom gadget skin, and stream like an agent with a bespoke overlay.
  3. Milestone 3: Go in style with a Deluxe agent skin, plus unlock a developer AMA.
  4. Milestone 4: Confidential. The details remain a secret for now…

IO Interactive’s art director has teased players with insights into the game’s features, assuring fans that 007 First Light will blend the sophisticated style typically associated with Bond with action-packed elements reminiscent of Mission: Impossible.

With six months until release, the game also has plans for post-launch content, promising a continuous engagement similar to the popular Hitman series, set to release on Nintendo Switch 2 as well.
