Civilization 7 Expands with New Content Post-Launch

Civilization 7's post-launch roadmap introduces new leaders and wonders, releasing in March.

As Civilization 7 draws closer to its launch, the publisher 2K has rolled out details regarding the game’s post-launch plans. In a recent livestream, the roadmap for the strategy game’s follow-up was unveiled, showcasing two paid DLCs and two free updates that will be released throughout 2025.

Key Updates

  1. Paid DLCs:

    • Crossroads of the World and Right to Rule will be released, introducing new civilizations, leaders, and natural wonders.
    • The first part of Crossroads will launch in March, featuring Victorian mathematician Ada Lovelace and new wonders like Carthage and Great Britain.
    • The second installment will follow shortly after, adding Simon Bolivar and cultures from Bulgaria and Nepal.
  2. Free Updates:

    • Each paid update will be paired with a free update, including events like Natural Wonder Battle and new wonders such as the Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest.

Game Mechanics

Civilization 7 aims to shift the series paradigm with significant changes, notably the new age transitions which could redefine how players engage with the game’s mechanics. Early access starts on February 6, marking an exciting period for strategy game fans and newcomers alike who will want to discover how these innovations play out.
