Players Celebrate The First Descendant's Anniversary with Free Characters and Weapons

To mark its first anniversary, Nexon announces a special event offering players exclusive rewards in The First Descendant.

As part of its first anniversary celebration, Nexon is giving players a free character and multiple ultimate weapons in The First Descendant. After storming out of the gates one year ago, The First Descendant’s momentum has slowed, though Nexon continues to take in player feedback to deliver a player-friendly experience.

Although the free-to-play looter shooter has seen a dip in player numbers over the past few months, Nexon has continued to work on the game to not only add player-requested features but also offer plenty of free rewards to entice lapsed or new players to log in. In fact, Nexon cut support for previous console generations from The First Descendant, choosing to focus on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series consoles for better experiences and improvements. Part of that begins in Season 3, coinciding with the game’s first anniversary.

The First Descendant’s First Anniversary Rewards

Players can earn special anniversary tokens in the game by completing rotating daily missions or finishing a set amount each day. These tokens can be redeemed with Anais in the Albion social space for large rewards until August 13. Rewards include unique cosmetic options, themes, emotes, and unlocking a character of choice for 300 Anniversary Tokens.

Moreover, players can also choose from three ultimate weapons during the event, costing 200 Anniversary Tokens each. This includes popular options like the Thunder Cage, Enduring Legacy, and other powerful gear.
