Revenue Shift in Mobile Gaming: Pokemon TCG Pocket Overtaken
Pokemon TCG Pocket has lost its position as the highest-grossing mobile game to a lesser-known title, Love and Deepspace.
Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket No Longer Highest Revenue Mobile Game
The Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has been surpassed in revenue by a lesser-known mobile title, Love and Deepspace. While Pokemon TCG Pocket continues to release updates periodically, the romance game has gained traction with its unique theme featuring appealing 3D characters.
Since its launch in October 2024, Pokemon TCG Pocket enjoyed a loyal player base, thanks to its simplified mechanics compared to the physical card game. The development teams at Creatures Inc. and DeNA have actively engaged players with regular events and new card releases.
In June, Love and Deepspace generated an estimated $56.4 million, just short of Genshin Impact’s $65.5 million in earnings. Pokemon TCG Pocket trailed closely behind with approximately $53 million. This decline is attributed to less compelling content in its recent expansions compared to the previous months, resulting in decreased spending from players.
