RoboCop: Rogue City’s Upcoming Expansion Promises New Firearms and Playable Characters
The RoboCop: Rogue City expansion, titled Unfinished Business, is set to introduce a variety of new weapons that could rival the game’s iconic Auto 9 gun, which has often overshadowed others in gameplay. In addition to new firearms, players will have the opportunity to take control of ED-209, the infamous robotic antagonist.
The recently released trailer highlights exciting gameplay footage featuring Alex Murphy battling a gang of criminals, reminiscent of contemporary action films like The Raid and Dredd. Among the newfound arsenal is a minigun and a unique cryo-cannon capable of freezing enemies instantly, enhancing the strategic dynamics of combat.
Moreover, players will now have the chance to engage in missions as different characters, alongside flashback sequences exploring Murphy’s previous life before becoming RoboCop.
The expansion’s trailer also offers an intriguing glimpse of the voiceover, which has drawn mixed reactions; some speculated if it was AI-generated due to a few unusual vocal qualities. Regardless, Unfinished Business is expected to improve upon the foundational elements that made RoboCop: Rogue City an engaging experience, launching on July 17.
