Epic Games has listened to fans calling for the Blitz Royale mode to become a mainstay in Fortnite following its initial success in a limited-time run.

This mode has wowed players since its launch two weeks ago, allowing 32 players to battle on a smaller Fortnite map. The game features thrilling mechanics such as rapid-fire rounds, sprinting invisibility, and infinite ammunition, all packed into quick five-minute matches.

The popular mode has seen higher player engagement than any other and has some players eager to see it become a permanent part of Fortnite’s offerings. Epic recently acknowledged these requests with a tweet:

“We’ve seen a lot of ‘make Blitz permanent’, but what should we change?” July 3, 2025.

Accompanying this call to action, Epic has placed a poll inviting players to share what they would like to see improved or added, including new points of interest (POIs) and additional powers.

As the discussions unfold, players remain hopeful that the exciting Blitz Royale will stick around, especially as it continues to attract fans looking for shorter, more dynamic matches.
