New Update Released for The Last of Us Part 1 on PC
The Last of Us Part 1 for PC receives a significant update improving performance and addressing issues, particularly for AMD users.
The PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 has recently received Update 1.1.5, aimed at boosting performance and featuring specific enhancements for AMD users. After facing a difficult launch on PC, this title has maintained its popularity, and it’s encouraging to see developers continue their support years post-release.
Originally developed by Naughty Dog and launched on the PlayStation 3 in 2013, The Last of Us is recognized as one of Sony’s standout titles. The sequel released in 2020 also achieved significant acclaim. In 2022, a remake titled The Last of Us Part 1 was introduced for the PS5, boasting improved graphics, gameplay, and accessibility features. Following this, the remake made its way to PC in 2023, marking its debut on this platform.
Now, Update 1.1.5 introduces several optimizations, fixing numerous crashes and enhancing overall stability. Notably, the update enhances the gameplay experience on devices equipped with AMD Radeon GPUs, including support for FSR 4. Additionally, audio issues affecting the Steam Deck have been addressed.
This ongoing support is particularly appreciated given the initial challenges faced during the PC launch. As the series gained momentum with the release of its TV adaptation, both The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2 have seen significant sales increases, attributed to the popularity of the show. While it’s uncertain if Naughty Dog is developing a third installment in the franchise, rumors suggest that early casting efforts have been initiated to introduce new characters in any potential future title.
