The buzz is back! Fans of the classic game Buck Bumble are in for a treat as the developers behind Croc: Legend of the Gobbos have expressed interest in remastering this iconic title.
PC Gamer’s intel reveals that Argonaut co-founders Jez San and Mike Arkin are keen to refresh Buck Bumble, known for its bizarre main menu track that features a catchy loop of the game’s title being chanted.
While the remaster is not yet underway, the studio’s recent success with Croc has opened the door for future nostalgic projects. Arkin noted that Buck Bumble, though less known than Croc, deserves its moment to shine.
The duo also hinted at plans to remaster other classics like I-Ninja and Starglider, with Buck Bumble high on their list of priorities. They emphasized the enduring appeal of Croc, which sold over 3 million copies, as the motivating factor for exploring such remakes.
The studio is also contemplating a remaster of Croc 2, should the first game’s revival meet expectations in the marketplace. Expect updates as they progress!
