On June 30, President Donald Trump was involved in a conference call with various faith leaders when the call experienced issues. Trump quickly took to Truth Social to place the blame on AT&T, claiming they were “totally unable to make their equipment work properly.”
AT&T responded, stating,
Our initial analysis indicates the disruption was caused by an issue with the conference call platform, not our network. Translation: Our early assessment shows the call problems stemmed from the platform rather than our network. We are working to understand and address the issue.
This is not the first time AT&T has faced such accusations, as this was the second occurrence of disruption during a significant conference call. The incident was shared on social media by Karoline Leavitt, the assistant to Trump.
AT&T later reached out to clarify that they were collaborating with the White House to address the situation effectively. However, as of now, it remains unclear whether the White House will continue to utilize AT&T’s services for future calls.
