Over 100 Additional Classic Retro Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass

Xbox Game Pass is set to enhance its library by adding over 100 classic retro titles, expanding the gaming experience significantly.

The team behind Xbox Retro Classics has officially declared plans to add over 100 additional titles to their offering on Xbox Game Pass throughout 2025 and into the following year. Launched on May 21, the service initially provided access to more than 50 classic games from Activision.

These classics come with exclusive achievements, challenge modes, and high-score rankings, encouraging players to compete actively. The newly announced titles will significantly increase the game library, almost tripling the current offerings.

The Antstream Arcade team, responsible for this service, has also created a separate cloud gaming platform that grants access to over 1,300 classic titles for Xbox players. Following its success, this retro cloud service is also now available on modern consoles including PS5.

As stated by the Antstream Arcade development team, around 120 classic titles are set to be introduced to Xbox Retro Classics soon. While specific titles remain undisclosed, players can expect new challenges and tournaments for these upcoming games. The team has previously collaborated with notable names like Disney but no announcements regarding new partnerships related to the latest batch of games are available yet.

This announcement arrives amid concerns about potential price increases for Xbox Game Pass, making access to hundreds of new games all the more appealing. However, Microsoft has yet to communicate any new pricing plans despite ongoing rumors.

While the release dates for these new titles in the Xbox Retro Classics service remain unknown, players can look forward to several exciting upcoming titles in July, including retro remakes of games like Legend of Mana, Trials of Mana, and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4.
