Mod Transforms Oblivion Remastered into a First-Person Shooter

A stunning mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered turns the classic RPG into an exciting FPS experience, allowing players to wield firearms.

A new mod for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has transformed the game’s traditional fantasy mechanics into a first-person shooter format, allowing players to run through Cyrodiil armed with a gun instead of a bow.

While Bethesda generally supports modding in their games, Oblivion Remastered lacks official mod support. Nevertheless, modders have found creative ways to introduce new content.

One mod titled “Glock - Functional Gun in Oblivion Remastered” enables users to replace their bows with a Glock pistol. Players can add this weapon to their inventory or swap out the default Iron Bows. An update is planned to introduce an NPC that sells these weapons and ammo.

Freedom of Modding

Despite the lack of official support, the modding community remains active with numerous mods enhancing gameplay, introducing new factions, and even a system to leave notes for other players, reminiscent of Dark Souls.

Given the enduring popularity of the original Oblivion and its sequel Skyrim, it’s likely that players will continue to innovate and expand upon the Oblivion Remastered experience, creating unique gameplay scenarios.
