Ubisoft has announced buffs to the Renown currency system in Rainbow Six Siege X, enhancing rewards for players based on recent feedback.
The adjustments come after many players expressed concerns about low currency payouts following the release of the game. To commemorate the franchise’s 10th anniversary, Rainbow Six Siege X was launched on June 10, alongside the significant Operation Daybreak update, which doubled the game’s concurrent player count to 142,000 on Steam shortly after its debut.
While the update introduced numerous enhancements—including gameplay overhauls, new modes, and Maps—players’ dissatisfaction with Renown payouts led to rapid community feedback. Ubisoft’s Karpazis noted that the payouts were previously almost 10% lower than prior titles, highlighting a commitment to improving player experience without effectively reinstating old payout levels. New challenges and Renown rewards are set to be rolled out, providing players with better opportunities to earn currency and progress without lengthening the grind. Furthermore, a 1,000 Renown reward is now available for players reaching the next Clearance Level.
