Voice Actor Teases Possible Remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

During a fan event, Matt Ryan, the voice of Edward Kenway, hinted that a remake of Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag might be in the works.

During a fan interaction at a convention, Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag voice actor Matt Ryan hinted at the possibility of a game remake. Ryan, who voices the main character Edward Kenway, mentioned that fans who completed the game may need to do so again, although he couldn’t provide further details.

“You may have to beat it again,” he said, suggesting that there could be new developments on the horizon.

Edward Kenway, born in Wales in 1693, is a significant character within the franchise, serving as the grandfather of Connor Kenway from Assassin’s Creed 3. Originally starting as a privateer in the Royal Navy, Kenway eventually turned to piracy and became embroiled in the ongoing conflict between Assassins and Templars. Throughout the game, numerous unforgettable quotes are attributed to him.

Despite rumors circulating for years about a potential remake, this latest tease from Ryan adds to the speculation, especially as it was shared on social media during a recent event. However, as of now, Ubisoft has not confirmed any remake plans for Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
