Magic: The Gathering has officially introduced an exciting new collaboration with Sonic the Hedgehog, unveiling an exclusive set of cards themed around the iconic character. This initiative is part of Magic: The Gathering’s recent efforts to expand its crossover portfolio, already having launched collaborations with franchises like Final Fantasy and Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Each year, Wizards of the Coast updates its approach to these crossovers, with this year’s standards allowing new Universes Beyond sets to be playable in the Standard format. The latest Sonic cards will feature new designs and reimagined versions of beloved Magic cards, all set to hit the market on July 14.

In addition to the Sonic the Hedgehog cards, Wizards of the Coast has plans to expand its offerings, focusing on keeping the game fresh with innovative content through collaborations and new expansions.
