The executive producer of Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader, Anatoly Shestov, revealed his aspiration to develop a game set in the Secure, Contain, and Protect (SCP) universe. This concept stands out as Owlcat Games typically focuses on established properties, yet their recent successes indicate they have the capacity to explore new ideas.
Founded in 2016, Owlcat Games has successfully launched titles like Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and the upcoming Warhammer 40K: Rogue Trader. The team continues to innovate, announcing upcoming projects such as Warhammer 40K: Dark Heresy and The Expanse: Osiris Reborn.
In an interview with Videogamer, Shestov expressed his passion for the SCP project, citing its strong community involvement and the excitement of bringing such a creative universe to a larger audience. “Me personally, I always want to make a game based on the SCP universe, like Secure, Contain and Protect,” he stated. The prospect of a large-scale RPG inspired by this community-driven project has fans eagerly awaiting further developments, despite the uncertainties surrounding its production.
