In anticipation of Season 3 of Marvel Rivals, scheduled to launch shortly, NetEase is introducing a modification to the game’s surrender system aimed at facilitating a smoother experience for players facing overwhelming odds.
Previously, every team member had to agree to surrender in order to call off a match, which could be cumbersome in heavily lopsided games. The new system reduces the requirement, allowing teams of six players to surrender with five votes instead of the whole team agreeing.
This change is part of routine patch notes released ahead of season launches, aiming to improve player enjoyment and reduce frustration during what might seem like unwinnable games.
The approach to surrendering will continue to adapt based on team sizes. For teams of three or two, every member will still need to consent before ending the game early.
Additional Patch Highlights
In addition to the surrender modifications, the update brings bug fixes affecting characters such as Winter Soldier, Magneto, and several others. These adjustments seek to fine-tune character interactions, ensuring a better gameplay experience.
NetEase’s commitment to refining Marvel Rivals is ongoing, promising fans to evolve the game further with more surprises on the horizon. Keep an eye out for future announcements as they unveil more features and character additions in the coming months.
