Blood Message, unveiled for the first time in June, may arrive sooner than expected, potentially as early as 2026. Developed by 24 Entertainment, a subsidiary of NetEase, this action-adventure game will be available on PC and consoles.
On June 19, NetEase Games introduced Blood Message to the world with an exciting announcement trailer. The narrative follows a father-son duo on a journey across Ancient China during the waning years of the Tang Dynasty. Known for its emotional storytelling, Blood Message marks the first single-player AAA project from NetEase Games.
An insider, Lunatic Ignus, recently tweeted that Blood Message might aim for a launch in late 2026 with a price tag of $70, expressing surprise at the proximity of its release. This project had reportedly been in discussions since 2018, with actual development beginning in 2021, suggesting a quick turnaround from announcement to launch. If the rumors are accurate, the game might incorporate influences from the God of War series, with its director being close to Feng Ji, the mastermind behind Black Myth: Wukong.
While these leaks provide enticing hints, they should be approached with caution. Lunatic Ignus, however, has a solid track record in predicting significant announcements. As anticipation builds, players will be eager to see if Blood Message meets expectations.
