Palworld Developers Opt for Direct Launch Instead of Early Access for Upcoming Title
The gaming studio Pocketpair announces a full release for its latest game, Never Grave, foregoing early access.
Pocketpair is in the process of finalizing adjustments for their upcoming game, Never Grave: The Witch and the Curse, before its official launch.
Two years back, Palworld posed the question, “What if Pokemon had base building and multiplayer?” Now, Never Grave, their next venture, is taking a similar inspiration from Hollow Knight.
Initially slated for an early access launch in late 2023, the studio decided to take more time to refine the game based on player feedback from a demo showcased during Steam Next Fest. They now aim to release it in its entirety, skipping the staged early access model.
In the latest update, Pocketpair expressed commitment to delivering the game in its full version right from the start, emphasizing the importance of the feedback received from players during the demo phase. They are currently making essential adjustments to ensure a fantastic experience for players on launch day.
This decision is unique as it represents a reverse approach to the common trend of studios opting for early access in the hopes of refining their games over time.
“Due to the valuable feedback from many players during the demo period, we have decided to deliver the game in its complete form, rather than in staged early access,” the studio stated, keeping gamers excited for what lies ahead.
