Windows Finally Allows Customization of Audio Volume Notification Placement
Microsoft's latest update to Windows 11 empowers users to relocate the audio volume pop-up following numerous user requests.
Rejoice, for Microsoft has turned over a new leaf. At long last, Windows now permits users to adjust the placement of the audio volume pop-up. This update is included in Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26120.4452, released recently.
Previously, users were confined to a single location for these overlays that activate when adjusting volume or brightness via keyboard shortcuts, popping up in the bottom center of the screen with no alternatives. The new build permits selection among three different locations.
Moreover, the update continues enhancing the controversial Recall feature, aiming to simplify access to frequently utilized applications and websites. The latest build aims to provide users with quick navigation through their recent activities while allowing exclusion of sensitive applications, such as banking software.
The updates also address bugs, including the infamous issue where the Windows Vista boot sound would unexpectedly play on startup.
