Monster Hunter Wilds is gearing up for its highly-anticipated Title Update 2 on June 30, as leaked details from the PlayStation Store suggest. This update promises to be a significant content enhancement for Monster Hunter Wilds, which launched back in February.
The latest installment of the Monster Hunter series took the gaming landscape by storm following a seven-year gap, enjoying swift commercial and critical success. Garnering a commendable score of 89 on OpenCritic, over eight million copies sold within three days, marking it as Capcom’s fastest title to hit that target. Developers have continued to engage players post-launch with meaningful content updates, including substantial additions in Title Update 1 earlier this April.
According to the latest leak, Title Update 2 will introduce two beloved monsters, including Lagiacrus. The update is also expected to feature additional event quests offering rewards like the Doshaguma mask. Players could also gain layered weapons, preserving weapon aesthetics while maintaining performance. With a gesture set and various cosmetic items on the way, this update appears to enrich the gaming experience.
However, Monster Hunter Wilds has faced backlash for performance issues on PC, causing its Steam review score to drop to “Overwhelmingly Negative.” Capcom is expected to address these concerns, particularly as the upcoming Capcom Spotlight event on June 26 may potentially shed more light on the update and future titles, including trending games like Resident Evil Requiem and Street Fighter 6.
