AMD Teases Budget-Friendly Ryzen X3D Chip for Gamers

AMD is hinting at a new Ryzen X3D processor aimed at budget-conscious gamers, following the limited release of the Ryzen 5 5600X3D.

AMD seems to be preparing to introduce a new budget Ryzen X3D chip, potentially named the Ryzen 5 9600X3D. This follows the release of the Ryzen 5 5600X3D, which met with mixed availability, only being sold in select Micro Center stores. The Ryzen 5 9600X3D was spotted in AMD’s driver notes, suggesting its development is ongoing.

The new chip is expected to include significant enhancements due to the 3D V-Cache technology, allowing it to stack L3 cache beneath the core chiplet (CCD), a method that can vastly improve gaming performance.

However, no confirmation has been made regarding its market launch, and there is speculation it might primarily be available through system integrators, similar to its predecessor’s limited release.

The anticipation continues as gamers hope for a more comprehensive distribution strategy from AMD. The specs suggest a competitive performance level, especially for the price-conscious gaming demographic.
