Leaked Footage from Unfinished Open World Dungeons & Dragons Game Surfaces

A surprising leak features eight minutes of gameplay from the halted project by Hidden Path Entertainment.

Hidden Path Entertainment’s Project Dante, which was not intended to rival Baldur’s Gate, showcased potential which has now emerged through a leaked eight-minute video and concept art. The game was paused due to funding issues, causing job losses for several developers.

The footage reveals a third-person RPG with action-oriented combat, featuring two AI companions, exploring realms, solving puzzles, and engaging with NPCs—including a moment where a song is performed by background characters.

This footage gives a peek into the fantasy genre’s formula but also alludes to deeper interactive elements reminiscent of Dragon’s Dogma, set within a Dungeons & Dragons framework.

“While nothing about what’s been leaked seems exceptional, it does seem like development was fairly far along.”

Sadly, as with many projects, the financial challenge has put a halt to seeing the final product. Hidden Path did previously signal aspirations toward creating captivating stories and magical adventures, indicating a potential resurgence when funding allows.
