Frostrail Achieves 200,000 Steam Wishlists.

Frostrail, a new survival FPS set in a post-apocalyptic world, has garnered significant interest by hitting 200,000 wishlists on Steam.

Frostrail has crossed 200,000 wishlists on Steam. This noteworthy update was announced by the game’s publisher, Shiro Unlimited, alongside a teaser to express their gratitude for players’ interest ahead of the game’s launch.

Developed by FakeFish, known for creating the survival horror title Barotrauma, and published by Shiro Unlimited, Frostrail integrates shooter mechanics with survival elements in an open-world setting. The storyline unfolds in a barren land that was once a grand empire, now engulfed in cold and inhabited by strange creatures stemming from the Emperor’s dealings with the Void. Players assume the role of Penitent Gardeners aboard an armored train, battling these entities to cleanse their realm.

This milestone of 200,000 wishlists has been met with excitement, particularly as the game is reminiscent of Metro Exodus, attracting player curiosity.

According to the information provided on Frostrail’s Steam FAQ, its Early Access is scheduled for 2026, but no specific release date has been mentioned yet. Currently, it will be available solely on PC, with potential plans for console adaptations in the future. The game supports solo play or up to four players cooperatively, and small-scale modding options may be included, along with customizable features. The developers are contemplating closed tests before launch, possibly with a public beta to follow.
