The storyline unfolds in a barren land that was once a grand empire, now engulfed in cold and inhabited by strange creatures stemming from the Emperor’s dealings with the Void. Players assume the role of Penitent Gardeners aboard an armored train, battling these entities to cleanse their realm.

According to the information provided on Frostrail’s Steam FAQ, its Early Access is scheduled for 2026, but no specific release date has been mentioned yet.
