Marvel Rivals Adjusts Storm's Power After 159 Days

NetEase has made minor adjustments to Storm in Marvel Rivals following player feedback, four months post the character's significant power increase.

After a lengthy period of powerful gameplay, Storm from Marvel Rivals has received a nerf, albeit a slight one. This tweak comes four months after the character was significantly strengthened following a lack of player engagement.

In this adjustment, Storm’s ability to deal damage has been slightly decreased. Previously, her attack damage was increased from 50 to 55, while the projectile speed of her Wind Blade was ramped up from 100m/s to 150m/s. Players will now find that her ultimate ability, Omega Hurricane, will require an energy cost of 3,400 instead of the previous 3,100.

This change aims to balance the character’s overwhelming strength, allowing for a more competitive environment as several players found her overpowering. Other characters, including Star-Lord, Moon Knight, and Thor, received slight buffs as part of the same update.
