Dune: Awakening Patch Resolves Ornithopter Collision Issue in PvP

A significant update for Dune: Awakening addresses the ornithopter collision damage issues in PvP zones, impacting gameplay and strategies.

Patch Overview

Dune: Awakening has launched its 1.1.0.15 patch which introduces crucial modifications to Player vs Player (PvP) combat. One of the primary changes is a fix for a problematic strategy known as the goomba stomp, where players could run over others with ornithopters without taking damage. Now, players will not receive damage from collisions with vehicles.

PvP Combat Changes

Previously, players exploited the fact that ornithopters were immune to damage when colliding with the environment, leading to unfair gameplay where they could repeatedly stomp on players without consequences. The fix implemented now means that while ornithopters do not incur damage, neither do players from vehicle collisions.

Details on the Changes

Here are some essential updates and fixes included in the latest patch:

  • Respawn timer adjustments: Respawn during PvP has been modified from a rapid 10-15 seconds to 70 seconds for the first respawn and 115 seconds for subsequent ones.
  • Removed item from loot: The Dvyetz Ornithopter Engine Mk5 Schematic is no longer available since it was outdated.
  • Collision mechanics: Players are immune to damage when struck by vehicles.

This patch aims to refine PvP mechanics and enhance the overall experience within the game, ensuring fair play and more strategic gameplay.
