Notable Omissions in World of Warcraft's Patch 11.1.7

The latest update, Legacy of Arathor, brings excitement but lacks some expected features.

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1.7, titled Legacy of Arathor, is officially released but is missing key elements: Geya’rah lacks voice acting, and there were no Twitch Drops accompanying the update. While there may be explanations for these omissions, it is nonetheless significant that this exciting World of Warcraft release is devoid of certain expected features.

Patch 11.1.7 has gone live, marking the final installment of The War Within Season 2. The update brings various new elements, including lore-related content, Overcharged Delves, and a new campaign chapter named Rise of the Red Dawn.

Among the notable absences are voice lines for Geya’rah, a pivotal character in the Rise of the Red Dawn campaign who serves as a major representer of the Horde. This void has been pointed out by Wowhead contributor Portergauge, especially since other characters like Faerin Lothar and Danath Trollbane have received voice work.

The lack of voice lines might be attributed to the recent SAG-AFTRA strikes affecting the video game industry. Geya’rah’s voice actor, Laila Berzins, is recognized for her work, which includes roles in various titles, yet she has not commented on her absence in this context.
