Brollan Reflects on the Team’s Comeback at Austin Major

The Swedish in-game leader (IGL) didn’t hold back in his reflections after a tense learning experience. He stated, “It’s just one of the greatest things that has happened to me,” referring to MOUZ’s progression to the playoffs after a rocky start of 0-2 to finally achieve a record of 3-2 in Austin.

MOUZ showcased resilience as they forged ahead with a comeback victory against Legacy, overcoming a challenging group stage. Brollan emphasized the immense pressure and heavy emotions involved in their journey.

One notable victory featured a moment when MOUZ recovered from a 3-9 deficit at halftime in their decider map against Legacy. Brollan remarked on the significance of this achievement: “We were in a really bad spot in match points, we should have gone out of the tournament, so yeah, I’m just really happy that we made it to the playoffs now.”

At a press interview, Brollan elaborated on the confidence within the team despite their struggles. With a clear belief in their skills and potential as they eyed a goal to win the Major, he mentioned how they now have everything to gain by shifting their focus towards a more positive aim.

Regarding his gameplay, Brollan noted that amidst the pressure of the tournament, the team grappled with communication and ideas, leading to moments of individual disparity in execution. As they move into the playoffs, Brollan expressed a desire to embrace the arena’s atmosphere and utilize it to enhance their performance.
