A Marvel Rivals leak has surfaced, indicating the potential introduction of a Credit feature, similar to the Overwatch endorsement system, which may be included in an upcoming update. Players in the PvP hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, control a diverse cast of superheroes, bringing a variety of abilities to the gameplay.
Since its launch in December 2024, Marvel Rivals has been compared to Overwatch, largely due to their gameplay and match modes. However, certain elements distinguish the two games, including team sizes and the use of established intellectual properties to create its roster.
Leaker RivalsPsylocke recently tweeted about the unused Credit feature reported to operate similarly to Overwatch 2’s endorsement system, which allows players to receive credits based on their performance in matches. It remains unclear when developer NetEase Games will implement this feature.
In Overwatch 2, players can endorse up to two teammates after a match to recognize good sportsmanship, which results in rewards like battle pass points. The potential introduction of a similar system in Marvel Rivals could encourage players to display positive behavior and earn rewards more efficiently, potentially improving overall team morale.
