Shokuho, a new mod for Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord, is available for download now. This mod not only brings the game to the Sengoku period in Japan but also introduces fully simulated naval battles long before the official base game does.
Set in 1568, the mod depicts a time when Oda Nobunaga began his campaign in Kyoto, leading to over two centuries of political upheaval. Players can build their own armies or align with local lords to climb the ranks.
Features
- New Expansive Map: Allegedly five times larger than the original game, including 56 towns and 181 castles based on real historical locations.
- Naval Warfare: Players can control ships, engage in battles with archers and other forces, or board enemy vessels.
- Visual Style: Drawing inspiration from art styles similar to Ghost of Tsushima, the visuals are designed to attract players.
Shokuho also incorporates the popular Diplomacy Mod which adds alliance systems and war fatigue mechanics. For those interested, the mod can be found at ModDB.
For reference, there is a trailer available on YouTube showcasing the mod’s features.
