The Helldivers 2 community has united to improve user reviews of the game through a reverse-review bombing on Steam. This initiative is a reaction to PlayStation lifting region locks on a number of its PC games, including Helldivers 2. Since its launch last year, the game’s reviews have fluctuated widely. Helldivers 2 has experienced several instances of review bombing, as players express their dissatisfaction towards both Sony and Arrowhead Game Studios. However, as the companies adjust their policies, the community eagerly updates their reviews to better reflect the game’s direction.
In the specific case of Helldivers 2, currently, eight regions—Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Japan, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Vietnam—remain unable to purchase the game on Steam. The reasons behind this are unclear, whether it’s due to PlayStation’s decision or other factors. Nonetheless, the game is now accessible in significantly more regions than before, prompting players to inquire whether they can finally get the Helldivers 2 review-bomb cape that was previously unavailable.
