sh1ro on the Road to Title Defense: No Pressure for the Major
Russian sniper sh1ro talks about Spirit's recent achievements and their strategy heading into the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025.
On the media day preceding Stage 3 at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, HLTV interviewed Dmitry “sh1ro” Sokolov regarding Spirit’s recent performance following their victory at PGL Astana. He emphasized the importance of their practice sessions where they worked on their weaknesses from that event.
“We aimed to concentrate on the in-game moments we struggled with during Astana. We had roughly a week and a half of practice, which I think is a good duration to rectify our issues.”
In this lead-up to the major, sh1ro reassured fans that without any external pressure, they were prepared to give their best.
“There’s no pressure of any kind; we have demonstrated what type of team we are through our results. We will be doing our utmost to win the Major.”
As reigning champions, discussions about their mentality and practice locations arose, with sh1ro stating that the format doesn’t significantly affect their performance. He believes that with dedication and focus, online practices can achieve equality with bootcamps.
