As if Elden Ring character stats weren’t confusing enough, FromSoftware has added a layer of complexity in Elden Ring Nightreign. Each character has letter ratings to indicate their proficiency in different stats, but the actual numbers are obscured. Trust is required, as it’s unclear if leveling indeed strengthens your character substantially.
Dataminer and YouTuber Zullie the Witch analyzed the stats of Nightreign and discovered that they function similarly to those in Elden Ring, but with key differences that might alter players’ strategies.
For example, leveling past 12 yields minimal benefits. Players reach a cap at 15, but the last three levels only increase stats by a single point or two. Hence, investing runes in buff items may be more advantageous.
Zullie found statistical inconsistencies as well; an ‘S’ rating in intellect correlates to roughly 50, while an ‘S’ in strength approaches 70. Mages find their resources, denoted by the mind stat, grow sluggishly with each level. Even more surprisingly, the arcane stat remains unchanged, making the Executor class optimal for inflicting status effects.
Zullie offers further insights in a linked video, suggesting what stats to prioritize on relics. While not comprised of exploitative tactics, having direct stats helps clarify character progression during gameplay.
In light of these findings, Zullie argued against delaying gameplay to maximize levels and advises players to focus on enhancing their skills and strategies efficiently.
