Unique GPU That Doubles as a Mini PC Unveiled

A distinctive GPU setup now hosts an entire prebuilt PC, showcasing the blend of creativity and innovation in tech.

It’s universally acknowledged that tech aficionados find joy in products that defy expectations. A recent entrant into this category is a unique prebuilt computer cleverly hidden inside a GPU casing. This intriguing device, named the RTX 5027 POS Custom Mod, was created by CherryTree Computers and presented to the review channel Gamers Nexus.

This custom setup began its life as a Gigabyte Aorus GeForce RTX 2070 Super. After an unfortunate mishap during shipping, Cherry Tree transformed it into a pint-sized marvel by removing all branding and integrating a diminutive Asus NUC 13 PCB.

Gamers Nexus’ EIC, Steve Burke, humorously illustrated the project’s inception when he asked Cherry Tree, “But why?” to which the response was a simple, “Because fun!”

Performance and Functionality

This petite GPU not only serves as a conversation starter; it can be plugged into a larger desktop via the PCIe slot without drawing power from the host machine. It possesses its own independent power source, cleverly designed from the remains of a standard connector. The performance falls short of its predecessor, but it can still run games like Quantum Break with passable results.

The RTX 5027 is a testament to imaginative engineering, bringing both humor and utility to the forefront of tech design.
