Enshrouded has had a dynamic first year since its launch into early access, featuring four significant updates that have introduced new environments, challenging bosses, and NPC companions, enhancing the game’s world into a more interactive space.
Looking ahead, Keen Games has shared a target release window for the full version, pinpointing Spring 2026 for Enshrouded 1.0.
Keen Games expressed gratitude for the community’s support, stating:

The developers outlined some upcoming features, including an immediate update titled “Pact of the Flame”, which will enhance social interactions with features like in-game text chat and voice communication. Moreover, the building will become more intuitive, with a new first-person perspective and a variety of new aesthetic items. A sneak peek at the Pact of the Flame update includes:
- In-game text chat for multiplayer sessions
- Proximity voice chat and a new Social menu
- Emotion wheel for expressing feelings
- First-person mode for building
- Introduction of over 70 new building items, including new materials and themed sets in line with cultural festivities.
Furthermore, an exciting future addition on the roadmap is the introduction of a dynamic water biome, enhancing realism without compromising the game’s physics mechanics.
Players can also expect new barber shops for haircuts, enemy patrols, diverse weather events, and additional features such as Base Raid Islands, where players may face threats against their constructed bases.
As Enshrouded approaches its second year in early access, the planned features promise a busy and eventful timeline for players.
