You Can Play as a 'Dumb' Character in The Outer Worlds 2, with Unusual Benefits

Exploring the humorous and unique aspects of playing a low-intelligence character in the upcoming RPG, The Outer Worlds 2.

Playing as a low-intelligence character in an RPG adds its own flavor. Players may miss out on academic opportunities such as science and technology, but the comedic elements are undeniable.

Obsidian has a knack for creating humorous builds, and in The Outer Worlds 2, this trend continues. Players can opt for a ‘dumb’ character, leading to amusing dialogues.

However, being ‘dumb’ comes with its drawbacks. If you select this trait, you’ll miss out on five skills from the twelve available, limiting your growth.

Game director Brandon Adler remarks, “Players love the dumb option. You gain fun conversation opportunities, and we expanded on it.”

For instance, players may need to use unconventional methods to solve problems, such as using a round can of ‘Boarstwurst’ to complete a circuit. While a wise character might know to search for a fuse, a silly one might just improvise.

As with previous titles, the comedic angle enhances the gaming experience. The Outer Worlds 2 is set to launch on October 29, promising a mix of laughter and adventure.
