One day after the patch was unintentionally released for PS5 players, Larian Studios has officially launched the stress test for Patch 8 across all platforms.

Initially announced in December 2024, Patch 8 includes a range of features such as a photo mode, crossplay functionality, split-screen co-op on Xbox Series X, and twelve new subclasses deemed to be ‘a powergamer’s paradise,’ according to resident expert Harvey Randall.

Those registered for the stress test should expect an email from Larian containing an access code and additional instructions. Xbox players need to sign up through the Xbox Insiders program. Additionally, players can link their accounts on larian.com to facilitate crossplay.

To ensure a smooth experience, console players are encouraged to act as hosts for PC-console crossplay and should limit installed mods to fewer than 100 to prevent connectivity issues.

Larian has noted that some issues remain with the patch, aiming to improve support for mods and resolve any unexpected interactions as part of the testing process, which will continue alongside the patch’s development.
