Like a Dragon Studio Announces Next Game: Stranger Than Heaven

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio speaks on the details of its upcoming game, revealing gameplay and setting information during the Summer Game Fest.

During the 2025 Summer Game Fest, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio officially announced the name of its upcoming game, now titled Stranger Than Heaven. This title was previously known as Project Century, and the studio shared new gameplay footage along with details about its setting, which features various time periods.

The game is set to take players on a journey through dense Japanese locales, with segments apparently happening in different eras, including 1915 and 1943. So far, there is no word on the release window for their upcoming title.

At the event, renowned developer Hideo Kojima and acclaimed actor Mads Mikkelsen made an appearance, amidst numerous announcements including the reveal of a new expansion for Lies of P and Resident Evil Requiem. Fans are eager for more details from the studio known for its acclaimed Like a Dragon series, which they hope can match or exceed the high expectations set by earlier games.
