Treyarch has recently launched an update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for June 2025, targeting specific issues related to Gunsmith, Zombies, and the UI. Despite being one of the leading names in the FPS genre, the game continues to encounter challenges, prompting ongoing updates.
The Black Ops 6 Season 4 patch went live on May 29, bringing fresh content and re-introducing the Grief mode from Black Ops 2. This mode is designed as a competitive PvPvE experience, where two teams of four players compete against each other and the undead. However, what was intended to be an exciting addition turned into a source of frustration for many players, as it also introduced multiple technical issues.
With the latest update, several enhancements have been rolled out, such as:
- Damage specifications for the ‘Rapid Fire’ Fire Mod to align with the AK-74.
- Correct attachment numbers reflected on FFAR 1 weapon blueprints.
- Usability for underbarrel launchers on the ‘Combo Bash’ FFAR 1 blueprint.
Improvements have been made to the user interface, including giving proper previews of operators like Hudson, Mace, and R0-Z3, while addressing exploits that enabled uninitialized weapon skins usage. The multiplayer aspect has also been fine-tuned to show player levels adequately.
In Zombies, several gameplay tweaks have been introduced in the new Grief mode based on community feedback. Notable changes include reduced flinch effects from melee attacks and adjustments to upgrade charging times to ensure more balanced gameplay.
Treyarch indicated that more updates are on the way, as the team actively works on balance modifications to enhance Grief mechanics and continues to address player feedback.
